The Security Manager is a Peachtree Software intranet application that grants access to other applications using a lookup mechanism of Exchange Folder names. If a user is a member of an Exchange Folder and that folder has been granted permission to access a particular application, then the user will be able to access the application. This mechanism enables supervisors to allow their users access to appropriate applications, by adding them to Exchange Folders, rather than the Security Manager maintaining separate lists of users.
